There are some heavily foreshadowed changes in store for the lead characters of Burnham and Saru that will certainly make some fans happy and others greatly disappointed. Without giving more away, it’s a great episode to wrap up the season and set a new course for season four. But at least, even if it was just a glimpse, it was great seeing Tig Notaro, playing Jett Reno, again. I also thought someone should have given Tilly a pat on the back in the finale, for rising to the occasion after getting hijacked. It was still fun seeing Burnham, Culber, Stamets and acting first officer Ensign Sylvia Tilly (Mary Wiseman) play the villains. I was just starting to enjoy Ryn when Osyrra blasted him to bits last week! Also, I found this season’s return to the Mirror Universe to be a hoot for all involved, even if Jason Isaacs didn’t reappear as Lorca. My only other gripes (other than this lame, cockamamie excuse for the cause of The Burn and the absolute lack of Grudge) are that I really missed the contributions of both Georgiou ( Michelle Yeoh), who has traveled - somewhere or when - through the Guardian of Forever, and the relatively new Andorian character Ryn ( Noah Averbach-Katz).
